Our mission

Previa keeps your health and your family's in one shared, living space. It explains reports in plain language, updates the family members you choose, and shows how each person's health changes over time. Kahu, a health companion for everyone on Previa, keeps you informed and ready for the next appointment.

The data was there. The story wasn't.

A watch tracks one part. A lab report holds another. Appointments sit in a calendar. Previa puts them side by side, so your family and your doctor see the whole picture.

Previa doesn't diagnose or raise health alarms. It keeps your information together and explains it.

Example. Not real data.

Families live far apart. Health records live everywhere.

A report in a WhatsApp chat. A prescription in a drawer. A scan in an email from two years ago. When someone asks "what did the doctor say?", the answer is usually "I'm not sure".

Example

  1. Blood test report In a WhatsApp chat March 2026
  2. Prescription In a kitchen drawer January 2026
  3. Knee scan report In an email from 2024 June 2024
  4. Follow-up visit On a sticky note 14 November 2026

Four places. Nobody has the full picture.

How it works

Start with a seed.

Plant your family's tree, then add a branch for each person who joins. Everyone has their own account and their own choices.

Try it on the phone. Tap the seed, then add a branch.

Plant your family tree

Tap the seed to start your family's space.

Example family. Not real people or data.

Understand your reports, without the jargon.

Previa reads your report, asks you to check the numbers, then explains what each result means in plain language, with a source for every point.

Try it on the phone. Pick a sample report, confirm the numbers, then tap a source.

Previa explains reports in plain language. It never provides medical advice.

Example

Different labs use different units. This report shows glucose in mg/dL; earlier ones used mmol/L.

Fasting glucose, three example results, shown in mg/dL.

Converted with the standard factor: 1 mg/dL is 0.05551 mmol/L. Your original report never changes.

Add a report

Choose a sample report. Nothing is uploaded.

Check the numbers

Previa read these from your report. Fix anything that's wrong, then confirm. Nothing is explained until you do.

Every device, one story over time

Your watch, ring or band already measures sleep, steps and heart rate. Previa reads what it shares through Apple Health or Health Connect, and puts the weekly trend beside your test results, on one timeline for your doctor.

    • Reads only. Previa never writes back to your devices.
    • You choose which measures to share, in your phone's settings.
    • Shown as device estimates, never as a diagnosis.
Illustration: a watch, a ring and a fabric band, each sending a line into one timeline that runs down into the tree's roots.

Share what you choose. Take it back any time.

Choose category by category what each relative can see, and read exactly what they'll see before anything is shared. Joining a family shares nothing on its own.

Your history, all in one place.

Your timeline keeps every confirmed result in order, with upcoming tests and appointments and your wearable trends. Older history lives in the roots.

Switch between your timeline and Mum's.

    Timeline

    Example timeline. Not real data.
    1. 2025

      9 reports. 1 treatment started. 4 appointments.

Confirmed results HbA1c, lipid profile, vitamin D

    2. 2024

      6 reports. 1 treatment stopped. 3 appointments.

Confirmed results Thyroid panel, full blood count

    3. 2023

      4 reports. 2 appointments.

      Confirmed results Lipid profile

Example year view. In the app, the roots hold your older history.

    Ready for every appointment.

Add the date and time. Previa reminds you that morning and asks in the evening how it went, so your timeline stays right.

    Arrive at the doctor prepared.

Your questions, your family's questions and a short summary for your doctor, ready before the appointment. Share it as a watermarked PDF with the doctor you choose.

Your health companionQuestions come up between appointments. Kahu is there for every one of them.

Meet Kahu™, a health companion for everyone

Ask Kahu about a report or a trend, and it answers from your records, with a source for every point. Ask how to improve something, and it shares what published guidelines say. Ask whether something is serious, and it helps you prepare for your doctor.

    • You stay in charge: Kahu acts only when you confirm.
    • Each person decides whether Kahu can use what they share.
    • Chats aren't saved. Each one is deleted when you close it.

Kahu is an AI. It doesn't diagnose or treat, and it doesn't replace your doctor.

    Questions

    All questions
    What is Previa Family?

Previa keeps your health records, and your family's if they choose, in one place, in order over time. It explains reports in plain language with a source for every point, reads your wearables, and helps you prepare for appointments.

    When does Previa launch?

We'll announce the date in November. Waitlist members get in first, a month before everyone else, and we'll email your invitation on launch day.

Can I use Previa just for myself?

Yes. Start on your own and add family whenever you like. Your tree grows a branch when someone joins.

    Which phones?

    iPhone and Android.

    Which countries?

At launch: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

Who can see my health information?

Only the people you choose, category by category. Joining a family doesn't share anything by itself, and you can take access back at any time.

My family lives in different time zones. Does that matter?

No. Reminders arrive at each person's local time, and everyone sees updates as soon as they're shared.

    What happens in an emergency?

Your emergency profile is one tap away, with your allergies, treatments and contacts. Previa doesn't contact emergency services for you; the call buttons dial from your phone.

    Which wearables work with Previa?

Previa reads from Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. Devices whose apps share into these work with Previa: for example Apple Watch, and rings, bands and watches from brands such as Oura, WHOOP, Garmin and Samsung, plus Fitbit through Google's apps. Previa doesn't connect to device apps directly.

What does Previa read from my devices?

Steps, sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, VO2 max estimates and blood oxygen, when your device shares them. Each device shares different measures, so some may be missing. Previa shows only what arrives, as weekly device estimates.

Does Previa change anything in Apple Health or Health Connect?

No. Previa only reads, and only the measures you allow in your phone's settings. You can switch it off at any time.

    Who is Kahu?

Kahu is a health companion for everyone on Previa. It helps you find your way around, explains your records with sources, shares what published guidelines say, and helps you prepare for doctor visits. Kahu is an AI. It doesn't diagnose or treat, and it doesn't replace your doctor.

    Does Kahu keep my chats?

No. Each chat is deleted when you close it. Only what you choose to save, like a visit preparation, stays in Previa, and you can delete it.

Does Previa use AI on my records?

Yes, to read and explain the reports you confirm, always with sources. Kahu sees your information without your name or contact details. Your data is never used to train AI models.

    Is this medical advice?

No. Previa explains and organises. Decisions about diagnosis and treatment are for you and your doctor.

    Where is my data stored?

In the United States, with our hosting providers, encrypted at rest.

    Can I delete everything?

Yes, straight away, in one step. You can download your records first.

Does Previa sell my data or show ads?

    Never.

    Who runs Previa?

Previa is built by Previa Family, Inc. (in formation), founded by Yash Jain, a doctor. Yash doesn't review anyone's results, and nobody at Previa does.

    How much does it cost?

Waitlist members get the first month free, with every feature. A month later, plans for individuals and families begin, and everyone gets 2 weeks free first. We'll share the prices before then.

Do I need a card to start?

No. Joining the waitlist and your free time need no card, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
